On Friday, January 10th, we will be having a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse happening in the sign of Cancer at 20 degrees; exact at  2:22 PM EST. This is the exact degree and sign of my Natal Moon (picture me inhaling and exhaling in a brown paper bag). I will most likely blog later on how it went for me personally.

This Full Moon will be opposing exactly Mercury as well at 20 degrees; and at that time Saturn and Pluto will be at the same degree in 22; almost exact, which will be happening about 2 days later. So this conjunction involves Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto in the sign of Capricorn.

Capricorn energy is about getting grounded, committed to our goals, it is a serious and stern energy, very determined to achieve, in a practical and logical way. With the planets in Capricorn in this Full Moon Eclipse, it is a reality check as it opposes the Moon.

The Moon is at its home sign in Cancer; feminine, mother nurturing energy, emotional safety and the past; might be a tug of war between your past and you building strong foundations. Remember Full Moons are excellent to release what is holding us back; in this case, the past. And anything else that no longer serves you.

In addition to this, we have Jupiter conjunct the South Node; suggesting us to release what doesn’t serve us. Another powerful aspect that will assist us in the purge and detox of what no longer aligns with us.

With the Sun conjunct Mercury, there is what is called a Mercury Cazimi, making the energy of Mercury very strong; a Cazimi is when a planet is less than a degree conjunct the Sun; and this planet is unusually strong during that time.

Many things happening at once during this Lunar Eclipse so let’s break down the different aspects and how it fits into this puzzle:

Moon trine Neptune – This is a good transit to have during this time. This transit is very compassionate; and compassion is something very needed during this time. Having faith and sending light to situations that can be very dark and difficult at this time.

Moon opposite Mercury – this can bring some challenges when it comes too communicating; and also we may find it more challenging to keep our thoughts positive;

Moon opposite Saturn and Pluto – Restlessness, depression, feelings of dread…

But wait… there’s more… hours after the exact opposition for the Full Moon, Uranus turns direct. This might bring unexpected, sudden and shocking events happening, hopefully positive.

On a personal level, it can be a reality check for us… are our priorities skewed or in the right place? What do we have to let go of to set priorities straight? What do we need to put our energy and focus on?
